My journey in aviation

Hello! My name is Daniel, and I'm an airline pilot with a passion for aviation that has taken me across continents. My journey — from instructing in the trusty Cessna 172 to the commanding heights of the iconic Boeing 777 — has been as varied as the roles and responsibilities I've taken on in this dynamic field.

It all started at San José State University, where I earned my bachelor's in aviation and joined the school's flight team. I quickly took on a leadership role as a team officer and competed in multiple NIFA SAFECON regional and national competitions, where I secured a first-place finish in the IFR event.

I got my start as a flight instructor, imparting my knowledge and passion for flying to aspiring aviators. Then, transitioning to a commercial airline, I took to the skies with passengers on board. Today, my career has evolved to flying cargo internationally, a role that adds a global dimension to my piloting expertise.

When I'm not flying, I enjoy building websites (like the one you're looking at right now) and reading — faith, self-help, fiction, and just about anything in between!

In all, I've spent more than six years in the air, crossed the globe many times over, and landed at hundreds of destinations across many countries. But what stays with me isn't the hours or the airports — it's how each aircraft and each flight has broadened my perspective on the world and deepened the passion that started this journey in the first place. And this is just the beginning....
